CBS Sports Chooses VT2 Studios as their Headquarters for Super Bowl Post Production
HOUSTON – Dec 20, 2003. VT2 Studios has been awarded the prestigious contract to handle post-production needs for Super Bowl XXXVIII for CBS Sports.

CBS Sports will move into VT2’s facility the week prior to the Super Bowl and utilize VT2’s equipment and personnel to produce hours of Super Bowl pre-game show programming, special features and graphics. “CBS Sports personnel will occupy most of our facility 24 hours a day. We expect around 40 - 60 CBS Sports production personnel working here. We’ve been in preparation for months to make sure we anticipate and accommodate everything they need” said Tracey Shappro. To support CBS Sports’ post production needs, VT2 is building two more Avid Symphony suites with Unity, an additional SGI Flame suite, a Sony linear edit suite, and adding a mini-machine room with multi-format tape decks and two Avid digitizing areas. CBS's remote truck with two Sony linear edit suites will be parked at VT2 and integrated into their router. Up to 35 extra phone lines are being provisioned into VT2’s switchboard and a T1 secure network back to New York. VT2 has also provisioned fiber connectivity to VYVX for live distribution of audio and video. CBS will have private areas within facility for a CBS tape library, a conference room and offices for the CBS Sports team.
