VT2 Studios Travels to Indonesia
“In Indonesia they call it the wild, wild east”, points out VT2 Studios after recently venturing to Papua, where they shot stunning HD video images for an upcoming KBR marketing piece. “Even Indonesians consider Papua to be this mysterious and very remote place.”
KBR is building a massive LNG plant on Bintuni Bay, in the “bird’s head” region of Papua, and will debut a dynamic HD video at GASTECH 2008 in Bangkok next March. The LNG facility takes its name from the Indonesian word for resilient Tangguh.
“It certainly took resilience just to get there,” says the VT2 Producer/Director. “Getting to Jakarta is just the start. From there you take an overnight journey by air through Sulawesi to the famous World War II battleground of Biak. From Biak you take a private propeller plane to Babo. From Babo you take a twso hour boat trip”, he explains.
Now in post-production, the “Journey to Tangguh” video will be finished in High Definition and feature highly visual motion graphics.
“We have to tell the story visually,” says VT2 Senior Art Director Ken Koster. “It’s a trade show, and with the voices struggling to stand out, we know we need to make the graphics really visually arresting.”
